This bar cabinet is a good value for the price. It is sturdy and attractive and it holds a TON of bottles. Two issues with it. The instructions were not the best. My husband and son, who are both very handy, spent about 2 hours to put it together. Second, the 360 view showed the cabinet to have a wood laminated back. My plan was not to put this cabinet against a wall so that was important to me. Unfortunately, the cabinet came with an unfinished-looking black back. I contacted the seller and they apologized by saying the cabinet does not come with a wood laminated back and is meant to go against a wall. They gave me a discount for the inconvenience as I wasn't about to return a fully assembled cabinet. So it worked out okay but I do have to put it against a wall now.If your not handy, DO NOT Buy! Took me and a friend like 3-4 hours to assemble. Came out awesome but is hard to assemble. If your not handy, you’ll need to hire a handyman to assemble it. Otherwise spend double the money and find one assembled.Update: After some use I will raise my overall rating up a star to 3.5 (round to 4). The bottom left drawer seems to work a bit better with some weight in it. It can hold about 6 handles and 2-3 fifths depending on the shape/size of the bottles, which is better than I expected even after assembling it. Overall the design and storage functionality of this is great, but the installation process is the greatest barrier you will need to overcome.________________________________________________________________________________________________________________I don't normally write reviews since most things I buy on Amazon are as I expect them to be. There will be two parts to this review.1. Installation: 1 StarThis piece of furniture is not easy to put together. The directions are not the easiest to follow and small mistakes add extra time. The directions state 2 hours install time for 2 adults. Maybe after doing it 3 times you can do it in 2 hours, but 4-6 hours is more realistic. Definitely much more difficult than your average Ikea piece. We also had an Ikea type screw missing (actually the screw part was there, but the outer plastic part of the screw was missing making it useless), so I had to contact customer service to send me a replacement screw which added several days of the pieces sitting out in my living room waiting to complete assembly. The customer service agent I emailed was very responsive and helped with my issue, so props to her.2. Overall Quality: 3 StarsThe piece is mostly as I would expect for the price point. Not the nicest material, but fine. I had one piece of wood come as cracked (the bottom forward facing piece that goes along the legs), but I didn't really want to wait for a new piece so I used the included marker to color in the crack. The top drawer and right door both installed nicely. The bottom left large drawer did not install as nicely and after some time of making adjustments I got it to an okay place, but it still does not pull in and out as smoothly as I would like. Just a note, but the wine holders aren't v-shaped or anything on the inside so wine bottles will roll a little bit since they aren't cradled. Not necessarily a critique, but just something to note.Final rating: 2.5 StarsI chose this piece for the price and functionality given our space. It should get the job done, but I don't think I would buy it again given all the hassle with installation and the bottom left drawer not being the best. There aren't half star rankings on Amazon, so I'll round up to 3 because customer service was responsive.I bought this liquor cabinet well knowing that previous purchasers noted how long it took to put together, but still purchased it because I thought it looked great, suited our needs and was at a decent price.Previous reviewers are correct. I put together furniture fairly frequently from beds to TV stands and have purchased stuff from IKEA, which is known for the number of parts and complicated instructions. The assembly wasn't difficult, but it is time consuming. My girlfriend laid all the various parts out and it took me 3 hours by myself to put it together. There are a lot of screws, bolts, nuts and nails. The manufacturer did their best to make inserting these fairly easily and I have to give it to them for some of their ingenious connectors. The pullout drawer had some misaligned drill holes which when I initially assembled made the drawer not close properly, but I pulled it apart and after 15 minutes of reassembling got it aligned. Nothing major, but shoddy craftsmanship.Overall I would recommend it as it does look great and it is a good value for what you get. Just be forewarned if you do purchase it, be ready to take some time to assemble it.The cabinet itself is awesome and is very sleek & sturdy. The assembly, however, was the worst experience I’ve ever had with building furniture. I consider myself a pretty handy gal, and this isn’t my first time building large pieces of furniture by myself. The instructions were relatively easy to understand if you have an idea of how it’s supposed to look at the end. The biggest trial and error was with the bottom drawer. It took me FOREVER to get that thing aligned, so really pay attention to step #31 and 31.2.Plan on spending about 4 hours assembling. No joke. I spent 30 minutes alone just wiping off the sawdust and sorting parts.Nonetheless it’s a nice piece of furniture and is surprisingly sturdy. Only giving it 4 stars because I’m bitter about how long it took to assemble and how difficult the drawers were to get in. I’d buy from this company again, but will plan my day accordingly next time.I bought this as a coffee bar for my kitchen and it’s working out great! I wish I could give this 5 stars but the amount of time and frustration it took figuring out the directions for assembly was just annoying. Assembly got easier as you started to get the hang of “reading” the pictures...that’s right, there’s no written directions JUST pictures. Also, some of the parts were miss labeled so we had to decipher what was what.Once everything was assembled and we put it in the kitchen, it looked great! I love how it looks.*Optional tips of what I did: I put coffee syrup bottles where the wine bottles would go and I didn’t install the wine glass holders so I could just store coffee cups on the different shelves. I also decided to use the pull out drawer as a trash bay. I added a 10 gallon rectangular trash can from the hardware store to the pull out drawer and it’s perfect!Excellent piece of furniture. Very detailed instructions and easy to follow. Like a Tardis.... small and compact from the outside but plenty of room on the inside.The only negative is that I would have liked n exra shelf though, which would have helped create additional space for my glasses... Very suprised it wasn't already supplied as there is room for it! But Loving it.It looks great but was anything but easy to assemble especially when you are on your own.First shipment the box came damaged and things were broken inside. No problem they’ll send you a new one but then they’ll only reimburse you $3.99 in shipping to send the other one back and it is ridiculously heavy so it would cost a ton of money to try to send it back. If you don’t send it back they bill you for that one too!!The second one is terrible when put together. Nothing lines up. Drawer is cheap. I’m usually very happy with the things that we buy from Amazon and South Shore but this was absolutely the worst piece of furniture I have ever bought. And now it’s going to cost me $75-$100 to ship it back when it’s not my fault it was shipped broken in the first place.Well this is out of the box. Consider That I took each piece out individually. Two cracked pieces not impressed. Hopefully once its built it won't be that noticeable. Now this might just be from shipping seeing as it is a big and heavy product to ship. Either way the pieces are cracked.Edit: So upon further inspection of the instructions and other pieces I've found that this item has to be returned. The largest piece as well as the top and most visible piece of the whole unit is cracked. I've also seen small chips and cracks in other pieces, not nearly as noticeable as the other two. Although small cracks, fractures and chips lead to bigger problems. This item is not viable to use as the damage is visible and might cause future problems. Returning for a full refund. I will be ordering straight from the manufacturer.Where do I begin....1. This is an amazing space saver (my photos dont depict this as I JUST finished putting it together)2. I purchased a "scratch and dent" version from amazon someone returned and saved nearly 100$!!!! (Paid $160.30 after taxes) Does it look damaged? Absolutely not, not missing pieces and everything looks great!3. I am a 23yr old female weighing in at 130 and I dragged.. yes dragged this through my apartment building and set it up solo in under an hour and a half. It is possible4. Directions are straight forward yet they are NOT LABELED so pay very close attention - much easier doing it by yourself rather than 2 people possibly mixing things up.5. Need a fair bit of space for set up as you wanna make sure it's all there before starting.6. The large drawer is a tad bit stiff but it should loosen up with use - I also added baby locks to keep my kid out on the cupboard and both drawers7. It came 4 days earlier than the expected date!Overall - 5 stars I found it easy to set up and very sturdy if done properly even comes with a wall "anti tip" bracket :) Would totally reccomend if you have some patience
