The shipment arrived one day ahead of promised date, which was nice. It arrived well packed. With enough 'static-cling'-y styrofoam to choke an Olympic-sized vacuum cleaner. Not exactly 'eco-friendly', but it did its job well - NOT a scratch. The assembly is complex (LOTS of tiny screws). Plan on a good three-to-four hours. The picto-instructions are thorough, if a little tricky to follow. To borrow the old woodworker's saying, 'Read twice, assemble once.' One reviewer mentioned the cabinet doors not aligning. This was easily solved by diverging from the instructions, and attaching the back panel LAST! This way you can square up the cabinet, and, voilà!, problem solved. My only quibble (and a minor one, at that), is that the holes for the cam-fasteners that hold the side panels to the base are visible inside the open cabinet, in front of the wine-bottle cubbies (the holes for the top fastening are hidden by the edges of the hanging rack). Maybe two plugs should be included to cover them once completed. In the end, a spritz of black spray paint camouflaged them. All in all, a handsome piece of furniture. This cabinet is very attractive - however we had a horrible time assembling it. First of all... the screws and such are not meant to be tightened very tight. I would highly recommend only turning the screws until they seem tight - not as tight as most of us usually make it. This is what the customer service rep told us about the cam locks and bolts: "The cam locks and bolts break if you turn them to far. The cam lock should only be turn less than half a turn – just to close on the bolt."Second, make sure everything aligns before you start to assemble it. We had some issues with the door not aligning. (See pictures). By this point, we have it assembled... it is just not aligned properly. We are hoping we can get a replacement door that will take care of this issue as it is near impossible to take apart and then reassemble - especially with how fragile the screws/bolts are.I will say the customer service rep is very willing to send out replacement parts if you let the problem be known, but it has just been a huge headache to assemble so far. I got this for my husband's birthday present and am now wishing I had spent more to get a better quality cabinet that didn't have so many issues.Item arrived in one box and was packaged nicely to avoid scratches on the wood or any broken parts. There were many parts to assemble. It took me about four hours to assemble, but I took my time. I used a blanket on the floor to ensure the wood did not get scratched during assembly. Instructions were very clear and parts were clearly labeled matching the instruction set.Once assembled, this liquor cabinet turned out to be very nice. I'm very happy with this purchase. The cabinet has a very sleek and professional look. The wood and faux marble top are heavy and make the cabinet feel like it will be sturdy for years to come.My only wish is that the unit came with a locking mechanism to ensure the temptation to get into my stash could be prevented! :)First off, the piece is very sturdy. It looks great. It looks exactly as advertised. I love it!It was not easy to build. The screw holes were not always aligned. The instructions were a bit confusing for some parts. The packaging was a mess. When I opened the box, I saw the Styrofoam packing was completely destroyed. I have little bits of Styrofoam everywhere. The pieces were filthy and it was not easy to clean. Luckily nothing was really damaged. There were a few scratches on one of the side panels but it is something I can live with.If you're looking for an inexpensive bar, this is perfect. Great use of space, great layout. The construction and hardware are cheap, the doors don't really line up well, the bottom of the left door on mine is warped and sticks out about an inch. But again for the price, even someone as OCD as me can live with it.It is solid but takes some time to construct. The directions were radable yet diapointing. Several pieces were chipped and ceacked from shipping. Pre drilled holes were poorly done making it hard to construcrt without scratching. Drawer piolot hole for the back was too close to the surface causing it to easily crack. I give 3 stars for the quality of feel after construction. It should last... aside from the drawer. Fits plenty of stem ware and wine. Not easy to assemble but it is perfect! Can’t speak highly enough of this piece. Feels expensive and very sturdy. Love opening the doors and seeing exactly where everything is. A real talking piece at cocktail hour.
