Great looking & sturdy bar! The 2 side cabinets store quite a bit of alcohol and glasses. Took about 2 hours to assemble. Great buy!I don’t know who designed this but assembling it was the absolute WORST! I live overseas on a military installation and took a big risk purchasing this with my house goods, cuz it would be near, if not impossible to return....Epic Fail! It was fine til I got to the panels and it was all downhill from there! A lot of the holes for the wooden dowels were too big, so they wouldn’t stay in nor would the panels or sides fit together, the Cam Bolts weren’t long enough most of the time, for the Cam Locks to attach to so pieces kept coming apart. And page 9 of the manual is just ridiculous; it’s a jumbled mess with no clear instruction. It’s ina corner in my den and I’m trying to figure out what to do with it now! Save your money!UPDATE: I finally got it assembled! I stand by what I said - it was a nightmare!! I previously said the Cam Bolts weren’t long enough so the Cam Locks kept falling out; that was incorrect, they fit, they just wouldn’t lock! Some did and some didn’t...I kept having to swap them out until I found ones that locked. Also, I had to use Gorilla glue on the panels and part of the sides..it didn’t work as well on the sides, but it did in the panels...that was at least something! It was confusing and cumbersome, definitely not worth it! If there was a convenient way for me to send this back to the States, I would’ve!! But I wasted my money on it; so I was stuck! It wasn’t as big as I thought it was gonna be, either and I still don’t quite trust it; but what’s done is done! Hopefully you have better luck! I added another star cuz it looks half way decent once assembled!!Very time-consuming to put together, but overrall quality for the price point is quite good. Seriously, set aside a day to put this together, preferably with a second set of hands. Also, double check all material BEFORE you start, I had some scratches on one of the doors, and it was a bit of work to get the replacement done.In terms of the final, assembled product, I feel the quality is very good for the price point. I got this primarily my glasswear for beer/wine/scotch. So the shelved space was a must. I've not really used the extending edges, so I cannot comment on how well they work. in this $350-500 price range, I'm confident this one stands up. Most other options were largely composite, which is not ideal when you are likely to have beverage and bottles in and around the area.I'd say if you are not shopping with a $1000+ budget which would cover some finer pre-built options, this is a good balance of cost/quality.Lastly, Amazon customer service was very helpful on getting this to me. I live in an apartment, and they were able to arrange a scheduleddelivery to my door, which was a great help. Otherwise we'd have had to haul the rather heavy boxes up from the lobby ourselves.I wish I would have paid more attention to some of the reviews of this product. Even many of the 4 star reviewers criticize the assembly process and ultimate sturdiness of the final product. When we first unpacked the cabinet, I found a broken door. I sent my wife to the store to buy wood glue, which was great, as I noticed the product came with a couple dozen wood dowels and I prefer to add glue to them so they create a strong connection.Unfortunately, the dowels were pretty much useless as the holes drilled for them were way too big and when you inserted a dowel, it would just fall inside the hole leaving maybe an eighth of an inch to connect to the adjoining piece. As many others have mentioned, the cam system is cheap...so when you combine that with dowels that serve no purpose, you end up building a wobbly cabinet that you hope won't eventually collapse. It is a nice looking cabinet, too bad the team that designed the assembly process did a poor job.It looks so beautiful on the website but when it arrived and we began to put it together, there were a lot of problems. There were some parts that had to be returned, there were holes we had to re-drill. When we re-drilled, the wood (well it isn't really wood, it is some sort of particle board veneer type product) it split. Thankfully the split wood was in a piece that wouldn't be visible once it was all put together and there was enough support afound it to not make it an overall issue. The next issue was Part A, which is the top of the bar which is totally visible for all to see. It was majorly defective so I requested a replacement and OJ Commerce, the vendor, complied and were very nice sending me emails that they were on top of it. The replacement arrived and I couldn't believe it, the replacement was defective! I emailed them and asked that the next, and what I hoped was the final replacement, be flawless. I asked them to unpack the piece and look at it first before shipping it to make sure it was flawless. This took 3 weeks, and a phone call from me to follow up on when it was going to arrive. I finally got the replacement and it is acceptable. All I can say is, furniture isn't what it used to be. These things are made overseas and the quality and workmanship is poor. Hey, I don't expect an Amish-made, handcrafted item, but I do expect the drill holes to be in the right place and the pieces to be free of dents, cracks, nicks and scratches.Great product for the price but a very strong smell comes with the unit. Air out once assembled and the smell should decrease within two weeks.I had looked at this cabinet for about 2 months all over the internet and locally which sold at about $460-$500. Then Amazon lists it for $360 and I didn't think twice to buy it. True mahogany color. One person can easily put together for, only tricky part, in which you may need help, is the back, it consists of three panels which you have to hold in place from all sides to put in screws. Doors have magnets to keep them closed and shelves are adjustable. Only downside to it is the wine holder part. The shelves move very time you put/pull in/out a bottle so I decided to drill extra holes and use more metal holders. I also changed the knobs to match my kitchen cabinets.
